All treasurers: when you receive your statement in January for December, bring in your groups checkbook, ledger and canceled checks (if you receive them) for the entire year 2011. Please place them in the designated box in the foyer.



Mission Update

 

Nursery Coordinator Needed

Worship Committee is in need of a new nursery coordinator. Heather Smith is no longer able to continue and would like a replacement. Heather said she has reliable girls working in the nursery, but still we need an adult to be in charge and oversee the department Contact Heather Smith of Paula Schulte if interested.

Father/Child Banquet - Feb. 27 at 6:00 pm

Zaney Janey will be performing a balloon show along with a church-based story. Tickets available after services on Feb. 9 &26. $6 for adults, $3 for three to twelve year olds, children under three are free. 

 

All Church Music Day - April 15

All are welcome to participate.... Vocal, instrumental, etc. Contact Lynne or Becky if interested or need more information.

 

Girl Scout Sunday, March 11th

This Sunday will give girls an opportunity to attend their places of worship and be recognized as Girl Scouts.  Girls may perform a service, such as greeting, ushering, or doing a flag ceremony.
 
Monday, March 12, 2012, is the 100th anniversary of the founding of GIRL SCOUTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Media Ministry by Deb Norman

I am thoroughly enjoying the media ministry. In order for the slides to be prepared and transferred to the worship team, I need your help with the following guidelines:

1. Slides or info for slides (pre service or during the service) must be to me by 4pm Thursday for that Sunday’s service.
2. I’m happy to make any of the slides or copy and paste your premade Power Point slides into that week’s service. Again, just need that info by 4pm Thursday for that Sunday’s service.
3. I love making videos set to music, or slideshows of any photos from various committees, groups, activities, etc. However, I need a week’s notice to complete those.
4. Finally I really shouldn’t be accepting calls while I’m at work. I can be reached by email danz@mchsi.com or I will return phone messages left at 309-507-1741.
Once the slides are prepared they must be transferred to the individuals operating the laptop during services who need time to view the slides and practice for Sunday’s service. Thank you all for your help.

 

Nametags

We are asking everyone to remember to wear their nametag on Sunday morning.
 

Volunteers Needed

Sign up sheets are available in the lobby for supplying alter flowers or to be a greeter. If you would like to serve as liturgist, please contact Nancy DeFauw at 936-1300 to select a date.

REMINDERS:

Schedule Meetings Through the Office

Please remember to schedule meetings through the office so a room assignment can be made. Hopefully this avoids confusion as we have outside groups use our facilities as well as church committees , Bible studies, UMW circles, etc.
 

Prayer List Updates

The prayer list that is in the weekly bulletin needs to be updated. The prayer group prays weekly for the concerns or joys of the people/items that are submitted. Please leave a message in the prayer box or email the church if you have an up-date or change.


Due Dates

Slides/information/pictures for Sunday morning pre-service power point announcements are due no later than Thursday at 3:00 pm. Information may be emailed to Deb Norman at danz@mchsi.com All bulletin information is due in the office by 10:00 am on Thursday.

Visitor newsletter information will now have a consistent due date of the 20th of the month.
